Daily Bible Reading

To prevent the frustration of falling behind, which most of us tend to do when following a Bible reading plan, each month of this plan gives you only twenty-five readings. Today we start a few “free days” . We encourage you to catch up on any readings you may have missed this month.

If you have finished the month’s readings, you can use these final days of the month to study the passages that challenged or intrigued you.

Gratitude for God’s Unfailing Promises

I just wanted to share how thankful I am for God’s promises. Life can get pretty chaotic, and I see many people trying to handle things on their own. But I am grateful to have a God I can turn to – a source of peace when everything seems confusing.

Honestly, no one really knows everything I go through, but I find comfort in God’s directions, healing, and the peace and joy He gives me. Psalms 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path,” and that’s exactly how I feel – guided by God’s Word through life’s twists and turns.

When things get tough, I’m thankful for God’s promise in Isiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.” It feels good to feel that there is a God who is deeply involved in our journey. The scripture is telling us that He is not distant from us and that He is giving us an open invitation to trade our worries for the constant company of the Lord. When we feel weak, there’s comfort knowing that God doesn’t expect us to be strong all by ourselves. He gives us a boost, like having a reliable friend by our side, not just once, but always. It is a reminder that in the chaos of life, we’re held securely, and God has our back.

The peace and joy that God can give us is deeper and a longer-lasting peace. We discover peace as a gift from Jesus Himself, something that comes straight from Him. John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” It is not like the temporary peace the world offers, which is here today and gone tomorrow. But it is something deeper, longer-lasting. It’s source is the unchanging nature of Jesus. It is like getting a gift that lasts forever, a peace that stands strong even when everything around us is shaking. The peace that goes deep in our hearts, reaching places that the world can’t touch. This lasting peace becomes a rock, a steady force that helps us go through life’s ups and downs with a steady confidence. That is how I feel when I am going through some things in life.

Let’s keep reminding each other to lean on God’s promises. When things get hard, remember Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength.” Life is a journey, but with God’s promises lighting the way, we can navigate it with faith and hope.
