Day 348 – Scriptures of Peace

December 15, 2022

Luke 1:76-79

76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

““And you, my little son, will be called the prophet of the Most High, because you will prepare the way for the Lord. You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins. Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭76‬-‭79‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Christ, from birth, was destined to take us out of darkness. We can all admit that we have reached dark times in our lives where we felt we had no light shinning in us. We didn’t know the direction we were going. But Christ shines his comforting light upon us and showed us the way out, gave the guidance and love we longed for.

I don’t know anyone that loves being in complete darkness and lost. The one thing all man kind can share is the love of Christ. We may not share the same experiences or the same struggles but we all have a chance to experience God’s mercy and salvation that guide us along the path of peace.

Christ love is universal, no matter the culture, no matter the language. All human minds can be pulled from the darkness and have salvation through Him
