Junior Bible Quizzing began in the United Pentecostal Church International in 1982 for children under the age of 12. This ministry is the real-life application of Deuteronomy 6:7:
“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”
As parents, we have a Biblical mandate to teach “diligently” the Word of God to our children...
Senior Bible Quizzing is a ministry within the General Youth Division of the United Pentecostal Church. Senior Bible Quizzing has served young people for over fifty years. Students between the ages of 12-18 study and memorize 400-500 verses of scripture each quiz season.
Leaders generate twenty questions on the assigned material, ranging in value from 10 to 30 points per question. During competition, there are several types of questions, with 30 seconds allotted for answers.
